Commissioned Old Masters – Renoir, Monet, Degas and more

 

Since my beginnings as a painter I’ve greatly enjoyed the Impressionist period. The style has influenced my own work, but taking on the challenge of creating reproductions happened most unexpectedly. After years of showing and selling artwork, and having conversations with clients about their favourite impressionist paintings, one suggested I paint their favourite, “The Swing” by Renoir. It was a lot of fun to do the painting and to see the new owner’s delight when they set eyes on the completed work. This led to continuing with additional copies of Renoir, Degas, Monet and many other impressionist artists too.
